Old-timey Fossil Dig Birthday Party Decorations

For this theme I wanted to design something different than the majority of what I found when I googled "dinosaur party," so I went with the fossil angle. I love exploring and history and museums, so fossils is a perfect fit!

This collection features earth tones typical of the landscapes being explored during the Great Dinosaur Rush of the late 1800s. The bones are exposed under layers of paper, as if they were being revealed from underneath layers of dirt. Dino footprints can be found throughout; look closely and you'll see their impressions in a custom-embossed pattern here and there. Also notice field notes and specimen tags on parchment and in an older style of writing. I used a wood texture in several places, to be reminiscent of the wooden crates used to transport all the extraordinary finds!

The neutral colors of this collection allow you to add your own color! I used purple in my photo shoot, but almost any color would be beautiful. So have fun with it! And I hope you enjoy the things I've made!
